From 3 to 6 February 2025, Mining Indaba, Africa's premier mining event, was held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in South Africa. With the theme of "Microgrid Solutions", SANY’s booth (No. C30) presented its efficient and scalable microgrid solutions in an all-round way through dynamic layout, interactive models, and live demonstrations. The 3D sand table model of the microgrid, the core highlight of the booth, attracted many industry decision-makers to stop and intuitively demonstrate how to help mines achieve the goal of reducing operating costs and improving energy efficiency through clean energy integration, intelligent power management and energy storage optimization.

"African mines are generally facing the challenges of unstable power supply and high cost of traditional energy, and SANY Microgrid Solution provides customers with one-stop clean energy alternatives through modular design and digital control, enabling the green transformation of mines." Samuel Zhang, general manager of SANY Southern Africa, emphasized in the importance of technology sharing. During the exhibition, SANY reached preliminary cooperation intentions with some leading African mining groups, and the market demand continues to heat up. In addition to microgrid technology, SANY simultaneously demonstrated the whole chain solution of green mines covering mine exploration, mining and transportation, demonstrating SANY’s hard core strength.

During the exhibition, SANY executives held several rounds of closed-door talks with African mining ministers, industry leaders, and representatives of international financial institutions to discuss topics such as mine sustainability and solutions to Africa's mining energy problems. Mr. Kim LEE, chairman of SANY Group Direct International Business Division, introduced SANY’s low-carbon, digital, and intelligent goals and its original intention of continuing to provide customers with full-life services, with the commitment of "service first, customer first".
